Drive Thru Difference

Posted

This is a great way to make a difference in somebody's day.

YOU are the Drive Thru Difference. If you've ever wanted to make a difference in someone's day, this is the way to do it. It's simple too. By actually being the Drive Thru Difference, you can easily brighten someones day, week, or who knows... you might even change their outlook on life.

The concept is simple. You may remember the movie a few years back about 'paying it forward'. That's essentially what the Drive Thru Difference is all about. So... some weekday morning, afternoon, or even a lazy Saturday print this link, then drive to the fast food or coffee place you like to frequent... place your order... then, when you get to the drive thru window, kindly tell the cashier/window worker that you'd like to bless the person in the car behind you. At that point you pay for both orders and hand the worker the note you printed from this site.

In the end... you do something sweet for someone else, the window worker is blessed by seeing your spirit behind paying, and the person you paid for may also pay it forward the next time around. It's all about creating community and pointing others towards Jesus Christ in even the simplest of ways.

If you are ready to BE the Drive Thru Difference then print this form and see you at the drive thru soon!

We would love to hear your stories! You can call WAY-FM at (812) 945-0316!

Drive Thru Difference

I just wanted to say I did my version of the Drive Thru Difference before I read this page. I had heard it on the radio and just thought it was the greatest idea to bring others to Christ. Since I had not seen the note you have posted here I wrote my own. I took a piece of paper and simply wrote "Merry Christmas. God loves you! Pass it on to someone else." When I paid for the order I gave the note to the cashier and asked her to give it to the driver in the next car. She smiled at me as I drove away. It truely made me feel good inside. I know it wasn't much, the order only came to a little over $3.00 but I thought about myself and I know there are times when $3.00 seems like a lot these days. And I was glad to be able to help someone else this way. I think it is a great idea you developed. I even spread it to my church family today and several said they were going to do it as well. Love the station. God Bless you all in your ministry. Dee

I just wanted to let you know that someone treated me and my kids to dinner the other night- thanks to the Drive thru difference. I had been sick all the night and day before with food poisoning and was far too ill and nauseous to make supper for the kids so my brother offered to pick them up something from McDonalds on Dixie Hwy on his way home. When he did, he recieved the letter from your site. THANK YOU to whomever that person was. It was such an unexpected blessing from someone so kind on a very much needed day.

This was done for me quit a few years ago when I was at a drive thru and a card from a local church was given to me. This really touched me and when I went to work I told everyone about this hoping that this would get passed on. Then a few days later I was in the car with my teenage daughter and we returned the favor. Hoping she will see this and pass it on and come to find out she did. So when I heard about this on Way FM I had to give my story and I will copy the letter and pass it on again. Thanks

I wanted to let you know that I've been wanting to do this since the first day I hear about it on the radio. I finally was able to give it a go and I was at the Wendy's in Clarksville. I told the cashier that I wanted to pay for the people behind me and he gave me a smile that was very warming inside. After I paid, I gave him the sheat of paper and he said okay. I was watching in my rear view mirror and saw when the guy went in to give the credit card, he gave the guy the sheat of paper and the guy was suprised. I felt very blessed to give out a blessing to someone else, and I was able to do this with the money that God provided to me. I will definetly do this again, it makes you feel great, the guys behind you feel great, and who knows I think it made the cashier feel great as well. God is Good, Amen!

it brings me joy to do the drive thru differance. I even try to do it when you guys don't have it going on. I thing this makes a differance in my life not only who's food I'm paying for behind me. I have even got my mother in Florida doing acts of kindness. Thanks for letting me bless someone with your station. Merry Christmas! Godd Bless

My family and I were part of the drive thru difference. We were eating at crackel barrel and our waitress said a man paid our bill. No note he simply told her that God had blessed him so he was giving back. If he had only known how much it was a blessing. God Bless! Not only to my family and I but everyone their they saw that people can do good in a world so lost.

I was on the giving end of the Drive-Thru Difference and it made my day! I didn't realize I would feel this good for just doing something that simple for someone. I will definitely do this again. Thanks for encouraging us to do this. I hope many others participate.

The Station

Love the station guys and in the mornings I am driving to work at around 5:30, now I am listening to Southeast Christian Church, our family attends one of the smaller locations of Southeast out side of Louisville. You all have been such a blessing, I only wish I had found you sooner. I very rarely ever listion to any other music now besides Christian music. Our 9 year old granddaughter was baptized on Saturday night by my husband, it was a wonderful moment for the whole family and we have turned her on to Toby Mac, she loves him. Pray for us as we continue to push on in a world on the brink, God Bless You!

I work at a fast food restaurant on the weekends, so I get to encounter Drive Thru Difference in a different way than most people. I always smile and get really excited whenever someone tells me they want to pay for the car behind them. It is a joy to see the unsuspecting customers faces light up when they discover that someone else has paid for their meal. Thank you guys for doing this! You really impact peoples lives for the gospel with such a simple gift.

I think this is a great idea. Just went to read the note and realized that it has your old radio address. You may want to update the note.
