Stories of Impact

Listen to how donations from Impact Partners are working to change lives every day through the ministry of WAY-FM.

From Renee - For the past six months, I have been undergoing chemotherapy for Hodgkin’s Disease, a type of lymphoma cancer. This past Monday, I was told that I am in full remission. I listened to WAY-FM on my iPhone while undergoing chemo treatments. It calmed me and helped me get through the three hours of treatment. On days when I was too weak or had bad chemo brain and could not get out of bed or read the Bible, I would listen to WAY-FM as my prayer.

From Cody - Hey Wally, I have wanted to send this email for a long time. I'm not sure if I already did but… I just wanted to thank you again. Now don't take this the wrong way, but you are my hero… When I first started emailing you and calling in I was young and very suicidal… But every time I called in, you or someone else answered or emailed back... Of course I email you now for the fun of it but I just wanted to thank you for listening. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

From Mitchell - I'm 23yrs old, and my wife is 20yrs old. We'll be married two years in July, and I'm a veteran of the USMC. My wife and I have been through a lot the past couple of years. WAY FM has always been there to encourage and keep us on the right path. We both work part-time and go to school full-time, so we don't always have time to attend church…  God has blessed us in so many ways, and we just want to share the blessings He's given us. Thank you for everything you guys do, keep up the good work!

I want to thank you for the ministry that you do. I was listening on my way home one evening and I heard the testimony of someone whose son had tried to kill himself. That is a constant worry of mine since my son has been going through a very difficult time. So I just truly, honestly and deeply prayed asking God to walk with my son and let him feel His presence. I said that I will walk alone as long as my son has God. And then I felt His answer. He said he's walking with me too. He doesn't have to choose. I had to pull over because I was crying and couldn't see to drive. I have never felt anything so powerful. It has renewed my faith. So thank you for what you do - the message that you share, the music that you play and the stories you relay. My life has been changed. Thank you.

The Future

I want yall to know that your station has changed my life and the life, of others. I need Louisville to know that it should be concerned with the spirtiual condition of its taxpayers. We must, love first, live now and have faith that God is the master and commander. If we have truly surrendered all, then this thing should be easier. Helping others is free and so, is freedom of Religion and Freedom, is what founded this great country~ www.Fofu.biz

An Incredible Blessing

In Aug of 2011 out of nowhere my otherwise healthy mom suffered a massive stroke and subsequent aneurysm. We were told she would never come home, she would never walk, she would be a vegetable, etc etc. That was THE toughest thing I had ever been through. I would listen to WAY-FM in the car. Songs like Matthew West- Strong Enough, Josh Wilson- Fall Apart and others were popular at the time and really ministered to me, it was God saying, "I'm here and I'm in control, don't fear these winds and waves" She was in the ICU for 5 weeks and rehab for 350 days. On Sept 8, 2012 she came home! She is far from being a vegetable, CAN walk (short distances) and despite a few challenges, is doing great! In late Nov 2012, she was diagnosed with B cell lymphoma. I was devastated, "God, why would you save her from ALL OF THAT only to let her die of cancer?" Kutless- Even If started getting rotation. Again, that was God saying to me, "I've got this!" (yes, He literally said that to me) and praise God she is in remission!!! My point is to tell you "thank you" for being such a valuable tool the Lord uses to minister, witness and encourage!

How this station impacts my daily prayer
Posted by Sara on

I started listening to way fm when the athletes i train mentioned how much they liked it. i gave it a try late one night driving home. Now I listen each morning as I drive my children to school. know that I can turn way fm on and it will be a positive message without all the junk that I don't want my boys to hear. This week I sent up a prayer to God about moving on with ideas and letting go of past dreams for new ones for our family. That morning I heard Wally saying how god answers when it's time and basically it's not always what you want, but it is an answer. So I did and today we got an answer that I have needed for my own peace of mind. Call it strange, but I believe I was meant for that message that morning on the air. It made me think. It made me ask God. He answered.

Africa

My son is a preacher in Thomasville, N.C. He and several others are leaving tomorrow for Africa. They teach and preach, start churches in God's Holy name. I would like for everyone to pray for a safe journey and much success reaching people for God's kingdom. Also, I ask for prayer to protect them from the Witch Doctors. I listen to your station and I know it is a gift from God. Whenever I feel down I turn it up. Thanks.
